19 Activities you Can Do Near Denham Springs With Your Children During Round 2 of the Covid Pandemic Event

COVID is back! The virus has resurfaced, and we are asking for your help to keep the children entertained during this time.
Here’s what you need to know about these activities with kids here In Denham Springs– where to find them, what they offer, and the cost. You’ll be able to have fun at little to no expense whatsoever!

Play a board game or card game
You don’t have to leave the house. You can have a backyard barbecue or even an indoor picnic with all your friends! You don’t have to go anywhere, and the best part is that there’s little cost involved. Card games work just as well as board games in keeping kids entertained without breaking the bank.

Visit the zoo
Although this one is in Baton Rouge, at least it’s in the Denham Springs area.
Kids will be able to see exotic animals from all over the world while their parents can rest easy knowing that they won’t be exposed to any deadly viruses.
Regular admission is $8.75 plus tax for adults, $6.75 plus tax for seniors, and $5.75 plus tax for children ages 2-12.
Watch movies together
You can either visit Movie Tavern off of Juban or rent some movies off of Netflix.
These are some of the best ways to unwind after a long day. The movie choices are endless, the atmosphere is relaxing, and it’s an excellent way to get in some much-needed family time.
Bake together
You don’t have to leave the house for this one. Go to your nearest supermarket like Carter’s or Oak Point and buy some ingredients to make any type of cookies you want.
This is a fun way to spend time with your family while building memories that will last forever.
Go treasure hunting in your yard.
This is another activity that you don’t have to leave your house for. The best part about it is that you don’t have to spend any money and the activity can last for as long or little as you like. Just go outside, walk around your yard and explore together.

Go to North Park or South Park and have a family picnic.
Find out which park is better or even try them both! You don’t have to go too far and if you feel as though the weather looks bad, just bring your picnic indoors.

You can play this game at any time during COVID, but it’s best to play in the evening when the parents know that many hiding places will be available.
Go on a walk around your neighborhood.

Hop in your backyard and create a path using different obstacles like boxes, chairs, tables, etc.

There are a few different ways to go about this one. You could either visit the library and grab some books for yourself or your kids, or you could find the one closest to you and pay them a visit.
Be sure to check their COVID-19 policies first. We wouldn’t want you to make a wasted trip!

Mr. Milkshake is all the rage right now. Not only do they have a wide variety of great-tasting ice cream and milkshakes to choose from, but their service is also top-notch!
Get a Snowball
There is no shortage of snow-ball stands here in Livingston Parish. If you’re up north towards Watson, check out Olivia’s and try their Chantilly Snowball.
